EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 17, 2014) - Enbridge Pipelines Inc. will coordinate an emergency response training exercise on the North Saskatchewan River near the Goldbar Boat Launch. The exercise will simulate an emergency response to a spill on the river.
Those in the area can expect to see emergency response equipment and personnel, including boats, booms and other equipment deployed to the scene. No actual oil will be used in this exercise.
Enbridge asks citizens and media to follow the directions of emergency personnel and employees on site and to respect any barriers marking the working area on the river and around the boat launch.
