The changes reflect the ever-growing importance of electronic
media as a source of information, particularly for shareholders
and investors, and the importance that Enbridge places on
providing information to all market participants.
The new-look web site retains the strong branding that
characterized the original web site, and provides strong visual
images of Enbridge's operations with easy-to-follow navigation
that works on multiple levels.
There have been a number of upgrades to the site's content:
- The Investor Relations site has been expanded to provide
investors with more contextual resources and reorganized to
facilitate fact-gathering.
- A Corporate Governance section has been added.
- Information about Enbridge's Corporate Social Responsibility
policies and programs has also been added.
- The Community Investment section now includes an online
application form.
- New map, photo and brand libraries have been added.
- And the Careers section has been expanded to complement
recruiting initiatives in the print media.
The site is designed to better enable users to move quickly to
the information they seek, whether it is within enbridge.com or
on one of the Company's other business unit sites. A horizontal
navigation bar appears on all pages, making navigation at the
macro level easy and consistent throughout the site. The new
design retains the left-side navigation bar that was a popular
feature of the old site, and which provides easy navigation to
second- and third-level pages. The new site also incorporates a
newer and stronger search engine capable of searching all
Enbridge web sites.
The web site was initially launched as an investor web site in
January 2000. Since then the site has grown in size and content,
and traffic has grown steadily. The site had approximately 16,000
total user visits in March 2000 (the first month that was
monitored), and averaged approximately 67,000 per month for the
first six months of 2004. Similarly, total page views have grown
from 65,000 in March 2000 to more than 153,000 per month for the
first half of 2004.
The Company encourages shareholders, investors and other
interested parties to review the content of the new web site at
www.enbridge.com, and welcomes comments and suggestions.
