the recipient of the 2000 EnerGreen Award is Calgary-based
Enbridge Inc. (TSE: "ENB", NASDAQ: "ENBR"). Enbridge is a leading,
publicly traded energy transportation, distribution and retail
energy services company, active in North America and
internationally.
The EnerGreen Foundation is a non-profit organization that
promotes energy projects with a positive environmental impact,
which benefit remote communities. Through the support of corporate
and individual sponsors, EnerGreen has made a positive
contribution towards the global environment while benefiting the
lives of hundreds of families in small communities both in Canada
and in developing nations.
